DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THERE WASN'T A FLAG FLYING AT THE PARISH CHURCH TODAY ??? USUALLY IN THE PAST, THE ST. GEORGES FLAG IS FLOWN AT HALF MAST???

The Parish Church is one earmarked for closure, maybe they are starting to close it down?

The Church of All Saints, Wigan is one of 17 in the Deanery that are under review as to their continued viability. It is thought that possibly 5 of those could close. Decisions are a long way away yet. So it is incorrect to say that the Parish Church is "earmarked for closure".
